Punta Cana: The Resort

Our honeymoon was incredible! Since this was our first big vacation together I thought I would warn Josh that I am very much a tourist when it comes to trips like this. I take pictures of everything, hence the over 200 pictures I came home with from a 5 night vacation. He was patient with me and let me snap away...sweet husband, even though I know he was probably complaining in his head :) We left on the Monday after the wedding which was the BEST idea-so glad people suggested that to us. I can't imagine having to catch a plane on Sunday. Most of Monday was spent traveling. We actually landed in Punta Cana around 1:00, but after all the lines, customs, and hour and a half bus ride to the hotel, we didn't actually arrive at the resort until around 4:00. Our resort, Zoetry Aqua Punta Cana, was amazing. It was a smaller resort, and in the back of my mind I was a little worried because it was so small, but it ended up being perfect. The whole resort was super nice and from the moment we arrived there was staff at every corner making sure we had everything we needed. Everyone was also so nice! I realize it's there job, but by the end of the week we had grown to really like everyone.

Juan Antonio! We loved him!

The weather was good all week also! There were some clouds here and there, but they would come in and clear out quickly. We couldn't have asked for a better week at a better place.

The Rehearsal

Our wedding weekend began with a fabulous rehearsal and dinner. As all of us were wedding veterans, we knew the drill when it came to the actual ceremony, and with the help of two wonderful directors the rehearsal was a breeze. The night continued at the Vista Room downtown. Josh's mom did a great job with everything from the menu to the decor. It was so nice to have the night to visit with friends and family before the big day. It was a perfect way to start the weekend!

Can you tell I'm lacking creativity with the adjectives and writing? Not my best. Sorry...my brain is approaching bedtime.

My brother, who so kindly missed coaching in two of his tournament games for the wedding.

Just for Josh...

Sweet girls!

Pretty Moms

The ladies...

The Gentlemen...

A big thanks to Josh's step-dad for taking most of these pictures! I'm so thankful someone was able to capture the moment for us! My dad also made a very sweet and fun video of Ashlee and Josh through the years that we showed at the dinner. I know I've posted before, but I'm posting again...just because I can.

It was a night to always remember!

Showering the Dailey's...Part 2

Our last shower before we got married was non other than a monogram shower...do our friends know me or what? I'm crazy for a monogram and will slap it on just about anything I can. Once again everything was so perfectly done. I know I have used the word "perfect" a lot during our engagement, but that word just describes it so. We received so many fun monogrammed goodies...I seriously can't get enough of them! I failed to get a picture of me and the hostesses, I never did get the hang of being the center of attention and not the one documenting the day, none the less, I was very grateful for all the love and thought they put into the afternoon.

How cute is this?

Somewhere in the mix of all the festivities both of our workplaces hosted showers as well. We are so blessed to have friends and family that are so thoughtful and sweet. Everyone helped make our engagement so memorable and fun. We are two very lucky people!

Now onto the wedding weekend events...yay!!

Showering the Dailey's...Part 1

Wow! I had no idea getting back into the swing of things this week would be so difficult. I'm still not in the groove yet. Evidently my lovelies at school are testing me to see if the new Mrs. Dailey is going to keep things running like Miss Savage did. Needless to say, I'm very glad it's the weekend.

I'm going to make myself recap all my wedding shower fun before I begin blogging about the wedding, so with two more showers to share, here is part 1.

Throughout the whole engagement we had so many friends that wanted to celebrate us. We were so blessed to have so many people in our lives that love us. The day after my "Clemson Shower" I had another shower back home in Columbia. I only call it my "Clemson Shower" because it was all my college friends...not because it was a Clemson theme...although I wouldn't mind that either. Getting back on topic, this was a Sunday afternoon shower with LOTS of yummy cakes and desserts. I was in heaven with my very large sweet tooth. All the decor was perfectly done and everyone was so sweet to come out and celebrate what was our soon to be wedding.

Just one of the wonderful desserts!

Me and the fabulous hostesses. Such sweet ladies!

My lovely mother :)

Instead of a flower corsage, they did a key. A key to my heart :)

See, I told you it was beautiful. Aren't the swans cute!

LOVE the favors! The monogram just makes it better.

The tree for the cookies...precious.

Thank ladies for the wonderful afternoon! I loved it!

The New Mr. and Mrs. Dailey!

We're Back!

We had an absolutely PERFECT wedding weekend and honeymoon! I couldn't have asked for anything more...all my dreams have come true! I know I have lots to catch up on going way back to recap all the wonderful showers we had, but I will leave you with just a few fun things.

My dad made a wonderful video of Josh and I through the years for our rehearsal dinner. It was truly made with love, as my dad married off his "little girl." I still can't watch it without crying.

And our wonderfully fabulous photographer, Lindsay Alexander, gave us a sneak peek of a few images. I was busting to see these as she put them up while we were gone. And in true LAP fashion, she did not disappoint. We have been so lucky to work with Lindsay from the very beginning as she has captured our engagement, my bridal pictures, and our big day. We love her!!

Hopefully, I'm back to the blogging world. With so many fun things to share, how could I not!

3.10.12

So, I have been a little absent from the ole blog, but with good reason. Lots of fun and exciting things have been going on leading up to our big day on Saturday. Our wedding day is finally here! I have promised myself to pick up where I left off when I return from our fabulous honeymoon. I can't wait to return as Mrs. Dailey!
