Go Big Orange!

Okay, so I know I am a crazy Clemson fan, however I was proudly raised a Tennessee Vols fan and they made it to the Elite 8....and that is more than I can say for my Clemson Tigers. I am thrilled for my brother as he is a graduate assistant for the team. Tennessee has never made it this far in the tournament. My family commonly refers to my dad as Superfan, seeing as he made the drive to many far away cities including St. Louis this weekend to see the Vols play. He even made the UTsports.com video. You will recognize him as the middle aged, balding guy in the middle of the video jumping up and down looking like he is have a hard attack. Let's cheer hard and hope they get another win today!

GO VOLS!

Backyard Makeover Part Deux

Sunday night out of the blue I finally decided on what patio set I wanted, and of course I wanted to get it right then. Making a long story short, Target was out of the set I wanted, but told me they get new shipments in every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. After calling several Targets on Monday to make sure they had what I wanted, my dad so kindly met me with his truck after work to get my new furniture....now comes the assembly. AFTER purchasing the set I read the reviews of the set on Target.com. Everyone posted on how hard it was to assemble. That is the understatement of the year....

This is how it came...two huge boxes...fabulous. But, I was determined to put it together.
I did manage to get the table put together by myself...chairs a different story. Very difficult without power tools, a little easier with, and definitely a two person job.

And I am in love with my new umbrella!

I think I need an outdoor rug...what do you think?

Something definitely needs to be done about this grass and natural area. Nothing a little water, some pine straw, and few plants can't fix. Time to finally start enjoying my little backyard :)

Grocery Store Etiquette

Recent grocery store trips have led to to just two simple rules I wish everyone would follow:

1) If you decide to use the 12 items or less or the 20 items or less lane, please make sure you count your items. Because if you don't, I definitely am standing behind you in line.

2) Please don't try to be in my personal bubble space. Just wait your turn. There is no need for your cart to be only inches away from me or for you to be right behind me when I am trying to pay.

I hate grocery shopping to begin with, but I believe if these rules were followed it wouldn't be as awful.

Happy Shopping!

Backyard Makeover Part 1

With our sunny, warm, but windy weather this weekend, I got inspired to hang the tin flowers in the backyard. This is the first step in the backyard makeover.

Before:

After:There is much more to do, but I think it is already looking better and much more cheery!

TAG, You're it!

Kristy tagged me in a little blog game...thought I would keep it going.

Rules:
1. Open your 1st photo folder.
2. Scroll down to the 10th picture.
3. Post the photo and story behind it.
4. Tag 5 more people.

Drum roll please....

We have to way back to 2007 (I think) for this one...at Amy's Wedding Shower in Clemson. This is one of the many pictures I have her opening her gifts. Not too long after this, she was a beautiful bride walking down the isle.

I tag Kate, Ashley W., JoDee, Lorrie, and Mere. Let's see who plays along!

Happy Friday!

While I breath, I hope.

Did you know that this saying is on our South Carolina State Seal, only written in Latin? Well, if you didn't now you do. We took our annual third grade field trip to the State House on Monday, and we had a fabulous day. The weather was beautiful, all the children were on their very best behavior, and our guide was very knowledgeable. After my 7th year going, even I learned a few new things.

This was on one of the representatives desk....I found it humorous.

Our kids got to walk by the state sword and get a up close and personal view of it...very exciting for them :)

The highlight of my day...holding the state mace. The nice men offered to take it out of the vault, and of course we said yes!

What a beautiful day!

A Perfect Saturday

Yesterday I made a well overdue trip to one of my favorite cities....Clemson. Everyone knows Clemson holds a special place in my heart, and it had been too long since I made a visit. The perfect day in Clemson started with Lorrie, Daron, Parker, and I having lunch. I wanted to go to this adorable shop in town, Razberry Fizz, so we made a stop there after lunch. Needless to say, I bought a few things...imagine that. We then did some more shopping and walked around downtown. The weather was beautiful and Bowman field was filled with students enjoying the day as well. Oh the days....

Daron found this to do, while we shopped.

Love this child!

We had a sweet tooth, and what better way to take care of that than some original Clemson Ice Cream. Lorrie was also sweet and drove me by the baseball season so I could see the new renovations...fabulous! They look great. After visiting and playing with Little P some, I made my way back home.

Hanging out the the Zelmers + Clemson = A Perfect Saturday
