Engagement Pictures

I'm so excited about how our engagement pictures turned out! Lindsay did a wonderful job and managed to hide the bugs and sweat. It was a beautiful day and Harmon's Tree Farm was a perfect backdrop. I can't wait to see all the pictures!

Another Attempt at Craftiness...

Occasionally I get these urges to be crafty....then I remember why I don't create my own and just buy already made. I wanted something to use for a possible save the date when we take our engagement pictures this weekend, so I decided to try to get crafty with the help of my mom.

This was the inspiration design...

These cute signs from Razzberry Fizz in Clemson.

The final product by me...

I thought it turned out okay, until I put it up next to "the real thing." I guess we'll see how it looks in our pictures.

This and That...

Just a few random thoughts on my mind...

1. We were supposed to get our engagement pictures taken today, but all week the chance of severe thunderstorms were increasing for this afternoon. So, after talking to Lindsay this morning I decided to reschedule our shoot. Well, all morning it was sun and blue skies...I was a bit frustrated to say the least. I thought to myself, this is my luck. But the weather forecast wasn't totally wrong, because as I type the storms are rolling in. Maybe it was a good thing I rescheduled after all...

2. The countdown is on! 15 days left of school! LOTS of things to do to wrap up the year, and May is just as busy as August, but nonetheless, we are almost done!

3. State Testing is OVER...woohoo!! My poor kids, I don't think they have ever had to stay that quite and still for so many days in a row.

4. As school is coming to and end, wedding stuff is gearing up. Hoping to get a lot of things pounded out this summer.

5. And as school is ending, I'm packing up my room again this year and bringing it home. Next year I will be teaching third grade at a new school, Meadow Glen Elementary. I'm very excited for this new adventure in my life, but it is bittersweet leaving Saxe Gotha.

Happy Weekend!

Here Comes the Bride: Part 3

After we enjoyed a fabulous Bridal Luncheon Saturday morning, we moved to all the preparation for the "I do's." Everything was perfect...from the bride and groom to the reception. Hal was so sweet during the ceremony...you could clearly see how much he loves Amanda. He was full of emotion. I had a great time catching up with old friends and celebrating the new Dr. and Mrs. Harrison!

Miss these ladies...

What are the chances former roommates, who both happen to be Ashlee S, would end up with Josh's AND they both wore green ties...haha...love it!

And I didn't know at the time but Ashley is expecting Baby R in November...YAH!!

Delicious Cake!

I was so honored that Amanda asked me to be a part of her special day. She is truly like a sister to me. I look forward to celebrating many more moments with her as we get older. I wish the Harrison's many, many years of love and happiness.
I love y'all!

Here Comes The Bride: Part 2

It was a PERFECT day for a wedding on Saturday. The day began with a fabulous Bridal Luncheon hosted by Amanda's cousin, Kent, and her Aunt Nancy. It was very nice and close by...just next door on the Harris Terrace overlooking the Clemson's Walker Golf Course. It was a beautiful view!

Here Comes the Bride: Part 1

I was BEYOND excited to get to Clemson last Friday afternoon for Amanda and Hal's Wedding Weekend! Amanda is one of my dearest friends and sorority sisters. We met when we both pledged Alpha Chi Omega together freshman year and been friends ever since. I was honored that she asked me to be a part of her special day and stand by her side as she became Mrs. Harrison!

All the festivities began on Friday night with the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. After a refresher on wedding entrances and exits (You would think I would have this down by now, right? Believe it or not, a refresher course was kinda needed) we made our way to the dinner. Dinner was very yummy and a good time was had by all!

Groom's Cake....It was very interesting watching someone trying to cut this.

The night continued at Tiger Town Tavern...WOW! It's been a long time since I have been out there. I realized how much I have aged, but TTT hasn't. Still the same as when I was a frequent customer. After staying out for a bit, we headed back to the hotel to rest up for a full day of wedding events!
