Boys of Fall

As next Saturday approaches, my excitement grows. It's the kickoff of the 2010 Football Season and most importantly, Clemson Tiger football. I heard this song on the radio the other day, and how genius is Kenny Chesney...he is going to make a fortune off this song. Nonetheless, I think it's a great song and captures football season perfectly.

And with that, let football season begin! ALL IN!

GO TIGERS!

After posting I realized you could not see the whole video width, I'm not sure what happened, but I was having a hard time putting 2 videos from youtube in one post. I embedded the second video, if anyone can help me fix this problem, please let me know :)

First Day Jitters

After all the hard work and avoiding a meltdown today, I have made it to First Day of School Eve. One would think beginning my 7th year (wow, where has time gone) that I wouldn't be nervous, but there are still those first day jitters. So many questions have gone through my head this week about new things my school and I are trying-and I'm probably the most nervous about that. I have tried to relax and not worry that some things did not get done before this week, but the looking at the bigger picture the children will have no idea.

So, ready or not, they are coming in approximately 14 hours. For now, I am taking it one day at a time until we all get into the normal routine.

Happy First Week of School!

Back to School Shopping...

Yes, I still get a new first day of school outfit, just like when we were growing up. I mean you have to treat yourself after working so hard to get ready for the children, right? Well, for the past couple of years mom and I have traveled to Charlotte to go back to school shopping. Honestly, I did a lot of this at the outlets in Hilton Head, so my goal today was a first day of school outfit. I have written before about my love affair with Anthropologie and I could have very easily purchased everything in the store today. However, I practiced self control and only got one dress...

The picture doesn't quite do it justice, very cute on. And the nice lady checking me out pointed out that the belt can be changed out to get more looks out of it.

Sidenote: I have to admit I don't think we were on our A game and didn't realize how spent we were from going back to work. We were a little sluggish and out of it.

After we ate a yummy lunch at the Cheesecake Factory, Mom and I discovered a new yogurt place, Yoforia. Can I just say GENIUS idea! Here is how it works:

Think Do-It-Yourself Marble Slab style

Step 1: Sanitize your hands. (I appreciated their effort for cleanliness.)

Step 2: Take your yogurt cup. (These were rather large, enough for all appetites.)

Step 3: Choose your flavor or flavors self serve style-one, two, or a little bit of everything.

Step 4: Add your toppings. They have everything from fresh fruit to Captain Crunch. I personally found it hard to think someone would want Captain Crunch in your frozen yogurt, but whatever floats your boat.

Step 5: Weigh and Pay. 39 cents an ounce.

Then eat!

So new outfit and all...bring on the first day of school.

What TIme Is It?

GAMETIME! well almost at least :)

If I have to go back to work, then at least I have this to look forward to.

Dear Summer,

Dear Summer,

Where did you go? It feels like just yesterday we were celebrating the last day of school. Thank you for the days of my toes in the sand, sunshine, time to catch up with friends, and days of nothing to worry about. I will miss the days when all I had to do was get up, work out, and relax at home or float in the pool at Club Savage. I truly enjoyed my first summer without a summer job or taking graduate classes. Until next June...

Why I do What I do

Today as I was cleaning out and organizing my school files I came across this...

I'm not sure which student this is from, but I'm sure it was when I was leaving Westminster.

That's why I do what I do.

Mr. and Mrs...

A few weekends ago a few friends and I took a trip to Charleston to see a sorority sister and friend tie the knot. Our significant others were not able to attend, so who else better to travel with than a few good friends! It was a beautiful wedding and there was no area left untouched. It was very hot, but we had a wonderful time dancing the night away and catching up with old friends. I'm sorry the pictures are a little out of order, I was getting frustrated trying to organize them.

Loved the lanterns!

Before the ceremony..my dates :)

Alpha Chi love.

Mr. and Mrs. Dorsey.
