Light At The End Of The Tunnel...

One word to describe the last couple of weeks....CRAZY!
I've been living in a whirlwind as of late. After working a full day at school, I have come home to this...
Finishing up Graduate School work has been an extra-curricular activity for me. And sadly, my old computer has seen its day.
But I was in complete shock when someone special got me a wonderful graduation gift. Now I just hope it doesn't complete die before I can get the old stuff I need and put it on the new one.

On a fun note, a few weekends ago I also helped throw a baby shower with some grad school friends for Kathryn...baby Colin is due on Graduation day, hope he waits until Mother's Day to make his appearance. I know his Mommy wants to walk on May 8th...

And the school year is coming to a close...woohoo....I'm really ready for a break. After I read the last 20 pages of my homework tonight I am done with grad school stuff too. I can see a bright light at the end of the tunnel calling my name!

Sunshine Award

This was passed along to me by Jodee. I am now supposed to tell you 7 things about myself and pass it along to 7 people. Here goes!

1. I love a good monogram!!! I would have everything monogrammed if possible.
2. I am not a happy camper if I have not had caffeine, preferably Diet Coke, within a few hours of waking up.
3. I have taught third grade for six years, and truly believe teaching what I am called to do.
4. If I could have it my way and in an ideal world, all my fabulous friends from college would live in one town so we don't have to wait so long between visits.
5. Clemson is my second home. There is something in those hills....
6. I love chocolate, and mix peanut butter with it, even better.
7. I am a shopaholic...I feel the need to buy a new outfit for every event (and I use the word event in a broad way) However, I am getting better at shopping in my closet and changing up outfits by just using accessories.

Passing this along to:
1. Ashley W.
2. Kristy
3. Lorrie
4. Holly
5. Meredith
6. Stephanie
7. Kate

Sorry ladies, if this has already been passed to you :)

Girl's Day

Last Saturday, I met up good friends from college in Charlotte for a day filled with catching up, shopping, and some good laughs. Trying to schedule this took quite the effort. I think we went through several weekends back in January until we all finally had a Saturday free to get together.

We shopped our way through Southpark, my all time favorite mall. It took all I had not to buy everything in Anthropologie. I love that store! We had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. My crab cake sandwich was delicious and one can't leave the Cheesecake Factory without Cheesecake, so we all got a piece to go because we were stuffed after the huge portions of lunch. However, I highly enjoyed my Adam's Peanut Butter Cup Fudge Ripple Cheesecake the next few days. Just imagine creamy cheesecake swirled with Carmel, peanut butter, Butterfingers, and Reese's Cups....YUM-O! This was my first visit to the Cheesecake Factory, and it was fabulous!

We had a great time, and we made some super cute purchases if I say so myself. I personally was definitly a contributor to the North Carolina economy that day.

Sarah Britt, Me, and Amanda ( I love these ladies)

I really hope we all get to hang out soon again...It had been too long between visits!
